While two weeks may not sound like a big deal in the greater scheme of things, this post explains why it is a crucial period in a pup’s development. Now, for an answer to your question. Revolution (selamectin) is a topical heartworm preventative that also kills adult fleas, prevents their eggs from hatching, controls and treats ear mites, prevents sarcoptic mange and controls the American Dog Tick. It must be applied monthly in order to be effective. Revolution can only be purchased with a valid prescription from your veterinarian and is safe to use on puppies over the age of 6 weeks.
